       Pray for President Bush and his success as he travels this month for the annual G-8 meeting, a summit of
leading industrialized nations. This year's meeting of leaders from the Group of Eight countries is being held at
Lake Toya in northern Japan, and will be Bush's last as president. The G-8 nations are Britain, Canada, France,
Germany, Italy, Japan, Russia and the U.S. For now, President Bush is not going to stop in South Korea as
originally planned. Intercede that the nations will accomplish much during this meeting, which includes a "major
economies" session, part of a global effort to find a new climate change agreement. The major economies are the
17 largest emitters of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases, led by the United States and China.

       Continue to pray for presidential candidates Barack Obama and John McCain. Ask the Lord to intervene in
their lives as they campaign, giving them wisdom and guidance for their campaigns. Pray that they will be given
insight as they each work to court evangelical voters, and to be wise and genuine in those efforts. Pray that each
man, a professing Christian, will be drawn closer to Him and that their views on faith and Christianity will be
clarified and further revealed in the coming weeks. Ask Him to give them an ear to hear and heed His voice.
Intercede for strength and protection as they travel the country and abroad to speak to people and share their
views on the issues. Pray for all Americans as WE consider who will receive our vote in November, and ask God
to reveal His will to us for the outcome of the election.

       Pray for our Troops, asking God to give them success, wisdom, strength, help and comfort as they work to
restore peace, stability and to defeat tyranny and evil in Iraq and Afghanistan, and around the world. Pray for
peace for the nations of Afghanistan and Iraq, asking God to remove all who would wreak havoc and destruction
there.  In Afghanistan, a car bomb detonated at the Indian Embassy in central Kabul on Monday, killing 40
people. Intercede for the families and friends of our Troops, that God would empower them and make Himself
real in their lives as they face each day apart from their loved ones.

       Pray for the future success of President Bush's decisions regarding North Korea to lift the provisions of the
Trading with the Enemy Act, and rescind North Korea's designation as a state sponsor of terror. Intercede that
the North Korean government will prove sincere in its actions to disable its nuclear facilities. Also pray, knowing
that the U.S. remains deeply concerned about human rights abuses, uranium enrichment activities, nuclear testing
and proliferation, ballistic missile programs, and the threat North Korea continues to pose to South Korea and its
neighbors. Pray for truth and peace.

     Intercede for the U.S. economy after the major Wall Street indexes closed out the first half of 2008 with
double-digit declines. This was the worst first six months of any year for the Dow Jones industrials since 1970.
Consumer confidence fell more than expected in June, hitting a 28-year low as higher prices and increasing job
losses combined with rising gas prices. In addition, the Reuters/University of Michigan Surveys of Consumers
reported last week that five-year inflation expectations remain steady and are at their highest levels in more than a
decade.
Note: As you pray for the state of the U.S., pray for Nigeria’s economy and their governance.  Inflation, sinking home
values and soaring gas prices have pushed U.S. consumer confidence to their lowest levels since 1992, raising worries
that already weak consumer spending could deteriorate further. Ask the Lord to help and teach all of us to find more
effective and efficient ways to manage our finances, pay our bills and continue to meet the needs of others through our
charitable giving in the midst of national economic struggles.  Pray that we ALL ARE receptive to HIS Wisdom-which
is key to our deliverance and sustenance!

      Continue to pray for the safety and effectiveness of firefighters in California. Over 1,000 fires are burning in
central and Northern California, leaving authorities unable to send firefighters to battle every blaze. Pray fervently
and earnestly for those who have lost loved ones and their dwelling places due to natural disasters (i.e. tornadoes,
hurricanes, earthquakes, and wildfires).  Wildfires have charred more than 800 square miles and have destroyed
at least 69 homes, mainly in the northern part of the state, in the past two weeks. More than 330 fires still burned
out of control as of late Monday.
       Pray for the family and friends victimized by a deadly shooting in Henderson, KY.  An employee shot five
people dead at a plastics plant before killing himself.

     Continue in your prayers for our Bro. Jessie as he awaits the results of his biopsy just recently performed.  
Since our last call for prayer, he had been re-hospitalized and has been there since.  

      Continue in your prayers for our Bro. Jacob and darling Wife Deborah as they continue in they Christian
pilgrimage.  Pray that gives their household such a vehemence to speak and live as a life of “NO
COMPROMISE!”  Pray that their children will set and be an example among their peers in this hour in which we
live!  Pray that their lives be a direct sign to the “Feet of our Lord and Savior!”

      Continue in your prayers for our Bro. Malcolm as he continues to deny the devil access into his spirit!  Pray
as he contends with others who have NOT been delivered from the sting of alcohol, street drugs, and addiction.  
Pray that God makes financial provision for him that he seeks NOT worldly means to make his “ends meet!”  

       Continue in your prayers for our Sis. Lena!  Pray that God provides her with soundness of mind…in spite
of what she’s been through!  Pray that she takes hold of the Word of Faith and walks therein!

     Continue in your prayers for our Mother Evans as she walks in the power of God’s Grace and Healing!  
Truly, she is standing stronger everyday because of our God’s Omnipotence!  Hallelujah to the Lamb of God and
His Precious Blood that was once shed for us!
